It refers to third-party companies or individuals employed by the Company to facilitate the Service, to provide the Service on behalf of the Company, to perform services related to the Service or to assist the Company in analyzing how the Service is used
Third-party Social Media Service refers to any website or any social network website through which a User can log in or create an account to use the Service.
Usage Data refers to data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit).
You means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company, or other legalentity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.

What information do we collect?

While using Our Service, We may ask You to provide Us with certain personally identifiable inFormation that can be used to contact or identify You. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:

Usage Data

On our product, you can send messages, take photos and videos, buy or sell things and much more.

We collect information you provide, such as:

Content you create, like posts, comments.
Content you provide through our camera feature or your camera roll settings.
Messages you send and receive, including their content, subject to applicable law. We can’t see the content of messages.
Types of content, including ads, you view or interact with, and how you interact with it
Apps and features you use, and what actions you take in them.
Purchases or other transactions you make, such as through Stripe checkout experiences, including credit card information.
Hashtags you use

Information with special protections

You might choose to provide information about your religious views, your sexual orientation, political views, health, racial or ethnic origin, philosophical beliefs or trade union membership. These and other types of information could have special protections under the laws of your jurisdiction.

App, browser and device information

We collect and receive information from and about the different you use and how you use them.

Device information we collect and receive includes:

- The device and software you’re using, and other device characteristics.
- Identifiers that tell your device apart from other users’, including Family Device IDs.
- Signals from your device.
- Information you’ve shared with us through device settings, like GPS location, camera access, photos.
- Some location related information, even if Location Services is turned off in your device settings. This includes using IP addresses to estimate your general location.
- Information from cookies and similar technologies.

What we collect from our camera feature?

We collect information about how users use the Camera feature for images/ videos and video calling. For example, if they choose a background effect for the video call , we collect information from the camera so we can apply the effect to the video background.

Madgum Features

Add a post (Photo / Videos )

Learn how to share photo and video posts, edit them.

To upload a photo or take a new one:

Click on the bottom menu.
Click Select from device and choose a photo or upload a photo file. The supported file formats are jpg, png and jpeg and you can write a description and click on save.

Add/Edit a post on Madgum

You can add a description to a photo or video you’ve already shared, or edit or delete the description you originally included.

Click in the top right of your post.
Click Edit.
Edit, delete or add a caption to your post, then click Done.

Edit and delete your posts

You can edit or delete posts that you’ve shared, delete comments on your posts.

You can delete posts that you’ve shared on Madgum at any time.

To delete a photo or video that you’ve posted:

Choose a post.
Click above your post, then click Delete.
Click Delete again to confirm.

Messaging

Messaging on Madgum allows you to instantly connect with friends, individually or in groups, through chats and calls.

Send a message to someone on Madgum

Send a message

To send a message to someone:

Click on the bottom.
Select the people that you’d like to send a message to, then click Next.
Enter a message. You can also click to select a photo or video from your device library.
Click Send.

To message someone you follow, you can also go to their profile and click Message.

Madgum lets you send messages to one or more people in chats. These messages can include text and photos or videos that you take or upload from your device library.

Start a group chat on Madgum

You can start a group chat on Madgum to send a message to two or more people.

Create a new group chat

To start a group chat:

Click on the bottom.
Select two or more people from the list or search for their username at the top, then click Next.
From here, you can:
- Type a message.
- You can also click to select a photo or video from your device library.
- Click Send.

Audio and Video Calls

You can start an audio or video call with on person you follow on Madgum.

Start a call

To begin an audio or video call on Madgum:

Click on the bottom.
Click an existing conversation on the left or start a new conversation.
From your chat, you can:
- Click in the top right to start an audio call.
- Click in the top right to start a video call.

Click Start call.

The person that you call will receive a notification that you’re calling them.

Bear in mind that anyone you’ve accepted a message from, except for verified accounts, can video call with you. To prevent someone from video calling with you, you can block them.

Use filters or effects in a video call on Madgum

To use a filter or effect in your video call:

Once you start a video call, you can:
- Tap to view effects.
- Tap to view filters.
Tap on an effect or filter to use it in your video chat.

Usage Data

Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service.

Usage Data may include information such as Your Device’s Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that You visit, the time and date of Your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.

When You access the Service by or through a mobile device, We may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device You use, Your mobile device unique ID, the IP address of Your mobile device, Your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser You use, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.

We may also collect information that Your browser sends whenever You visit our Service or when You access the Service by or through a mobile device.

Information from Third-Party Social Media Services

The Company allows You to create an account and log in to use the Service through the following Third-party Social Media Services:

If You decide to register through or otherwise grant us access to a Third-Party Social Media Service, We may collect Personal data that is already associated with Your Third-Party Social Media Service’s account, such as Your name, Your email address, Your activities or Your contact list associated with that account.

You may also have the option of sharing additional information with the Company through Your Third-Party Social Media Service’s account. If You choose to provide such information and Personal Data, during registration or otherwise, You are giving the Company permission to use, share, and store it in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy.

Information Collected while Using the Application

While using Our Application, in order to provide features of Our Application, We may collect, with Your prior permission:

Information regarding your location
Information from your Device’s phone book (contacts list)
Pictures and other information from your Device’s camera and photo library

We use this information to provide features of Our Service, to improve and customize Our Service. The information may be uploaded to the Company’s servers and/or a Service Provider’s server or it may be simply stored on Your device.

You can enable or disable access to this information at any time, through Your Device settings.

Use of Your Personal Data

The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes:

To provide and maintain our Service, including to monitor the usage of our Service.
To manage Your Account: to manage Your registration as a user of the Service. The Personal Data You provide can give You access to different functionalities of the Service that are available to You as a registered user.
For the performance of a contract: the development, compliance and undertaking of the purchase contract for the products, items or services You have purchased or of any other contract with Us through the Service
To contact You: To contact You by email, telephone calls, SMS, or other equivalent forms of electronic communication, such as a mobile application’s push notifications regarding updates or informative communications related to the functionalities, products or contracted services, including the security updates, when necessary or reasonable for their implementation.

For other purposes: We may use Your information for other purposes, such as data an alysis, identifying usage trends, determining the effectiveness of our promotional campai gns and to evaluate and improve our Service, products, services, marketing and your ex perience.

Social Media Service, Your contacts on the Third-Party Social Media Service may see Your name, profile, pictures and description of Your activity. Similarly, other users will be able to view descriptions of Your activity, communicate with You and view Your profile
With Your consent: We may disclose Your personal information for any other purpose
with Your consent.

Retention of Your Personal Data

The Company will retain Your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use Your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

The Company will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of Our Service, or We are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods

Business Transactions

The Service Providers We use may have access to Your Personal Data. These third-party vendors collect, store, use, process and transfer information about Your activity on Our Service in accordance with their Privacy Policies.

Payments

We may provide paid products and/or services within the Service. In that case, we may use third-party services for payment processing (e.g. payment processors).

We will not store or collect Your payment card details. That information is provided directly to Our third-party payment processors whose use of Your personal information is governed by their Privacy Policy. These payment processors adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of payment information

Children’s Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If You are a parent or guardian and You are aware that Your child has provided Us with Personal Data, please contact Us. If We become aware that We have collected Personal Data from anyone under the age of 13 without verification of parental consent, We take steps to remove that information from Our servers.

If We need to rely on consent as a legal basis for processing Your information and Your country requires consent from a parent, We may require Your parent’s consent before We collect and use that information.

Links to Other Websites

Our Service may contain links to other websites that are not operated by Us. If You click on a third party link, You will be directed to that third party’s site. We strongly advise You to review the Privacy Policy of every site You visit

We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party sites or services.

Delete your account

To give users more control over their data, Playstore has introduced and made it mandatory for a new account deletion requirement under their User Data policy. When you delete your account, your profile, photos, videos, comments, likes and followers will be permanently removed. For security reasons, we can’t delete an account for you. You’ll need to be able to log in to your account to request deletion..

To permanently delete your account from Accounts Centre:

Click More in the bottom left, then click Settings.
Click Delete account, enter message and then click Continue.

After your account has been deleted, you can sign up again with the same username or add that username to another account as long as it hasn’t been taken by a new person on Madgum.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update Our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify You of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.

We will let You know via email and/or a prominent notice on Our Service, prior to the change becoming effective and update the “Last updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy.
You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
